This is a notice to the general public and commercial operators that the National Fisheries Authority would like to advise you all that harvesting and selling of undersized lobsters is prohibited.

The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) is seeking expressions of interest from the Gulf of Papua Prawn Operators on the use of a prawn vessel that it may use to carry out a biological prawn survey in the Gulf of Papua Prawn Fishery.

This notice is to advice all the prawn operators and the general public that the Timed Area Closure for the Gulf of Papua Prawn Fishery commences on midnight 30th November 2004 to midnight 31st March 2005.

This public notice serves to advice all Beche-de-mer fisherman, operators and the general public the Fishery will be closed as of 1st October 2004 and will reopen on the 16th January 2005.
